Idea for a logo

Hi guys sorry I haven't been in touch sooner was working Thursday and Friday and was then away for the weekend with no e-mail. Here is the idea I was thinking of that incorporates the existing UCCA logo whilst also making it site specific. I'm guessing it could in theory be used for the other colleges to, graphic design was never something I really got into so as you can see it's relatively simplistic in nature I'm sure Hsien-Ying and Mariko could make it look a lot more professional if we decided we want to run with something like this. Unfortunately the 'F' of Farnham is placed directly in what I have heard referred to as the plan view of a toilet.

But yeah let me know what you think, Carol especially as, if I remember correctly, you won't be able to make it to tomorrows meeting. Unfortunately I'm not sure how long I'll be able to spend with the group tomorrow either as I have my first course specific meeting tomorrow which looks as if it's going to run for most, if not all of the day.

As for what medium we'd like to present the logo on I have to say that I personally don't think that it matters all that much. But as we're going to be presenting to a room full of people then something bigger rather than smaller would be better. Maybe a poster or a banner of some kind? Although if we can present using PowerPoint then maybe we could just take a screen-grab of the Farnham website and doctor it to have our logo instead of theirs
. Anyway hopefully see you tomorrow.

All the best, Tom.

I like Tom's idea. It can be used to distinguish the different colleges in the university group yet maintains the group identity. I think using a lower case f looks better than an upper case F would, because lower case fits in with the other lettering. It is also a logo that can be used on any product. We could change the colour though, the pale green is a bit insipid.

hehe yeah I agree about the colour, unfortunately I reckon a bunch of semi-corporate guys and girls in suits of similar shades, sat around for hours expounding on the virtues of this particular green and what it implies about the UC. Unless we just make a new colour and logo for the UCCA as a whole?
